Over the last year and a half, the SCIRT project has been establishing the demonstrations of an entire textile-to-textile recycling system for discarded clothing. With efforts to transition toward a circular fashion economy, the SCIRT project is organizing its Interim Event to present its past and future work, as well as the partners’ experiences collaborating on this project.
Join us on December 8th 2022 (and the afternoon of the 7th) at CETI to discover the research that has been conducted, findings discovered around textile recycling and the approaches to that. You will further learn about other ongoing projects and initiatives in the field of sustainable textiles, and will have the opportunity to network with other stakeholders and researchers in the field. Upon registration, you will be able to visit the facilities of our partners, CETI, who performs the (thermo-)mechanical recycling process on 8 December, and Valvan Baling Group who produces automatic sorting and dismantling machinery and AVS a company specialized in yarn spinning, in the afternoon of December 7th.
